Stupid questions seemed to be the Doctor’s forte. Elsa was a woman of actions. Her words hardly counted for anything. She lied as many times in a day as she blinked. That fact that she allowed him near her should have been proof enough that she had some trust for him so why did he insist on having her verbally admit to it? She rationalized it well enough but it was still irritating.
Normal people liked to hear that their were accepted. That they were trusted. How do you know if no one tells you? You guess. You hope. You pray that their actions or words match up to the position you hope to be in. With Elsa you didn’t know at all. The differences were minor. But if he thought she was going to truthfully answer his question without any snark he was sorely mistaken.

“I don’t trust you at all. That’s why I travel with you and stay in contact with you. Because I think you’re so trivial.”
