「❥」 A wince; she expects rejection. Expects Elsa to say no and follow it with a multitude of excuses as to why she couldn’t accompany her, because it’s all Anna remembers; it is all Anna has come to know of her sister’s behaviour and even though things are supposed to be changing between them now that everything has passed, there’s the anxious fear that things will simply return to old ways; locked doors and shut gates.
But then Elsa changes, backtracks, agrees to go and Anna visibly seems to relax. Her shoulders slumping as the tension is released. “Good—- great!” she smiles a bit, reaching a hand out to grab her sister’s and give it a reassuring squeeze. “I’m glad. I think they would be glad, too.”
And then she’s tugging Elsa from the sanctuary of her room.
「❅」 Why had Anna chosen this? Elsa would be hard pressed to keep her emotions under control. Sure, now she knew how to make the snow go away after she’d made it.. but that didn’t mean she wanted to conjure it up in the first place. She doesn’t flinch from Anna’s touch. Tries instead to focus on it as an anchor. She’ll allow herself to be led around.
Only by Anna. But even fully aware that her younger sister has her best interests at heart, she can’t help but question this decision. What good was visiting their grave? Would they even approve of who she was today? She tried to be a good Queen. Benevolent, kind hearted– but she could never escape being cold. Being dangerous.
“I don’t understand why you thought this might be a good idea. Please grab your coat on the way out.. I’d feel better if you had it. Just in case.”
