The words escape his lips just as he’s pulling her along by her hand. ”I never got t’see.”
“I don't want to.”
She treated everyone like they were below her.even the people she treated with charity. A touch she didn’t initiate was enough to cause a minor panic. Elsa was quick to pull her hand away.
He wets his lips before speaking again, eyes fluttering shut for a short moment as he gathers his thoughts, fingers drawing against his lips as he allows a smile to creep up on his visage.
“Ever been inside? Ever gone t’see what this uh, stranger’s done for th’kids?”
There is a softening that lasts a split second. A thaw visible only in her eyes before she presses her lips together stubbornly.
“I just came from inside. So obviously I have. Why are you so curious? What do you want? At this point I’d be willing to pay you to leave me alone.”
